What is Little Luminaries Collective?
We believe the path to knowledge winds through the exploration of nature. We strive to guide children on the path to unlock their innate curiosity and spark the light within. Little Luminaries Collective is an outdoor enrichment pod located in beautiful Bonita. Operating October 1, 2024 through June 26, 2025, Little Luminaries Collective offers a half-day program, for ages 3-7, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We provide a nurturing environment that supports children’s wellbeing through the exploration of nature, gardening, hands-on activities, stories, mindful movement, creative art, and music. At Little Luminaries Collective, we believe in nurturing the whole child by fostering a deep awareness and connection to their own bodies and emotions. We encourage children to trust their instincts and cultivate compassion for others, all while instilling a sense of responsibility for nature. Our approach stimulates creativity and imagination, allowing each child to flourish as a unique expression of light. Through genuine communication and mindful practices, we empower children to grow into empathetic, confident individuals who are attuned to themselves and the world around them.
Little Luminaries Collective
Lead Teacher and Founder
Meet Alicia, a freedom loving mother of three and the lead teacher at Little Luminaries Collective. Inspired by her children, Alicia has always believed that the traditional education system stunts the creativity and inner genius in every child by enforcing a one-size-fits-all model. This approach, she feels, stops children from being able to develop and listen to that small voice within (intuition), that will guide them for the rest of their lives. She sees the necessity for change in the way children are educated. Alicia holds an early childhood special education credential and has over 14 years experience in working with young children. Being called by her love for truth and freedom, Alicia left her government teaching job in 2021. Last year, Alicia successfully taught a group of 6-8 children at a park in Coronado. Alicia is passionate about reshaping education as we know it and is excited to welcome more children to join her in this transformative journey.
